(See testing video.) All constructive comments are welcome. Please like / comment if you download, print or use. Note: The target build volume is 310 x 310 x 320 mm. Also designed to be 'Cased' for heated build chamber to suit large ABS prints. I'm rebuilding my large format cartesian printer to CoreXY. Needed to recycle as much of the parts as possible so this design uses the LM8UU bearings and 8mm smooth rods. Designed to use 2020 extrusions in either cantilever or two carriers if your build plate is heavy. The carrier is fragile when the 2020 extrusions are not in place, as they are used as a structural part of the carrier. However, torsional rigidity is good when the carrier is completely assembled. Slide in mounts are designed so that the M4 bolts go through your platform and engage the 2020 extrusion to lock. Do not over tighten, as this will pull the locating key through the extrusion. Bearing towers can take either two or three standard LM8UU bearings. Print with no skirt; the design has pads at correct points to prevent warping. These pads are to be removed post printing. The carrier can be used inverted if that best suits your printer design. The build plate for this part is in the region of 300 - 310 mm. You will need M3 brass expanding threaded inserts for this design. This is a work in progress. Live tested now, and works smooth as silk. Better than expected first time test on motion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izJgAV2PhY0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KneF1tP7JmU&t=1s
