Z Axis Nut Mount 8mm Traped Nut

I'm holding out for a lead screw but, in the meantime, I've been forced to substitute it with an 8mm threaded rod. To make do, I've modified the z holder to incorporate a trapped M8 nut. If you choose this workaround, you'll want to use stainless steel threaded rod paired with a steel nut. This setup will prevent binding between the two components and, importantly, ensure that the nut wears out rather than the threaded rod.
