My personal version of the Z-axis without false bearings by Andreas for SmartCore. Its assembly, and particularly the alignment of the pulleys, is likely more tedious than on the original version. You can simplify things by opting for pulleys with sleeves (bearing 688 and printed sleeves) instead of just bearing 608. It will also be necessary to reverse the motor rotation direction. The plate in square tubes can be adapted to your printer's dimensions or replaced with a plywood panel. See the "axeZ.pdf" file for assembly instructions. Printing is done without support, except for the tendon. Print Settings Printer: Smartcore Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 20 Notes: The tendon must be printed with support.
