Z Axis Manual Crank for Belt-Linked Dual Drive
thingiverse
This was designed for a modified Ender 3 type printer with belt-linked dual drive Z movement. Every now and then I need to manually move the Z drive. For this I reach for the Z motor coupling at the back of the printer and rotate it. I find this somewhat awkward so I came up with an easier way.. This crank lever is designed to be mounted at the top of the right hand drive bolt. This location is not obstructed so manual operating of the Z axis is now easily accessible and intuitive. The only modification needed on the printer is to slide the RH drive bolt 20mm upwards (this drive bolt is long enough) The crank arm has an inner thread that matches that of the bolt thread and a tightening bolt that firmly clamps it to the shaft. Version 2 needs two self tapping 3/12mm screws. Version 3 uses one M3/12mm screw and M3 nut for clamping, and one self tapping 3/12 screw for the handle.
