Z-axis lead screw mount

This is an innovative re-design of the Cobblebot's z-axis lead screw system, which streamlines its mechanics by positioning the lead screws directly adjacent to the gantry cage, thereby eliminating flex from the traditional mount plates. To maximize performance, I recommend operating three lead screws in tandem with a 24-volt power supply, utilizing the z motors in series; however, this design can also be applied effectively with two lead screws. A key feature of this re-design is its adaptability to accommodate custom gear reduction via an integral timing belt loop that drives the lead screw from a NEMA 17 stepper motor.
