z axis depth indicator for QU-BD One Up and Two Up printers
thingiverse
Hey there! I came up with this thing to quickly check the levelness of my print bed. I actually leave it on the x-axis gantry to check the height before each print. To check the whole bed, I lower the hot end 10mm from the plate, snap on an indicator to check the front left and right corners, move the bed forward, and then check the back left and right corners. If I leave it on the machine (right side of x-axis), I lose about 30mm in print width, but it only takes two seconds to remove it. The depth gauge is pretty inexpensive from eBay, and it's instant-glued to the print as shown. Check your x-axis spacing - this was designed for 55mm CTC. If you're interested in one, send me a message; I'd be happy to put one together for you, but keep in mind that I have a real job, so patience is required and it may take a few days.
