Z axis calibration and verification using 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch headers
prusaprinters
This is a calibration object, to help with printing header probes that requires accuracy in the z axis. This was specifically created to help calibrate my 3d printer to print this probe https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3051216 that required accurate z height axis, to ensure the header probes are spaced correctly. To calibrate, try printing this object and measure that the 40mm and 20mm walls are sized correctly. If it printed properly, you can fit your standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pin headers to the holes. If not then measure the longest length. It is 40mm in max height, so if your printer calibrates via a 20x20x20mm cube. Then half the 40mm to get the z height calibration result. 40mm is chosen to help make the 20mm cube data entry more accurate after divison by 2. For sanity checking, there is also a 20mm z test on the same object as well. This was printed in 0.8mm nozzle diameter on 0.2mm layer height.
