Z Axis Brace for T-Slot, Tevo Tornado, CR10 for stability
thingiverse
I spend a lot of time creating these designs, so I really appreciate any tips or feedback that can help me improve them. This simple Z-Axis brace is designed to work on any printer with T-Slot framing, making it a versatile addition to your 3D printing setup. By bolting in two M5 x 10mm bolts and tightening down the T-Slot nuts, this brace effectively stiffens up the z-axis without adding unnecessary bulk. Installation is a breeze - just make sure to level up the brace so it sits flat on both sides, then slide it into position where your vertical framing is at a perfect 90-degree angle. Tighten down those two bolts with T-Slot nuts and you're good to go! I used button head bolts without washers for added stability. To prevent twisting in the rail, this brace features ribs on the underside - a clever touch that adds extra security to your print setup. This design works seamlessly on both single 20mm T-Slot and double 20mm T-Slot (40mm wide) configurations. Hardware Requirements: * 2 M5 x 10mm Bolts * 2 M5 T-Slot Nuts I printed this design with just 50% infill, but it still feels remarkably rigid and solid - a testament to the effectiveness of this simple yet ingenious Z-Axis brace.
