Z Axis Adjuster and Threaded Knobs
prusaprinters
I was working on adding a "BullsEye Blower" to my Tevo Tornado based on some YouTube videos I had watched. Included in these videos were replacement parts (mods?) for the Z-Axis Keeper at the top of the Z Lead Screw. I needed to adjust the "plumb line" on my lead screw and I figured that this would be a good, and simple, option for me to print. The files I found here on Thingiverse were helpful, but woefully out of date. So of course I updated them using Tinkercad. And since I was going to replace the stock Z Axis Stabilizer, I felt it was time to add a Knob on the top of the lead screw, as well. There are many variations of "knobs" available here on Thingiverse, but none of the ones I found had the Tr8x4 thread pattern I needed. I was able to find a Tr8x4 pattern and just incorporated it into a couple of knobs that I liked. I am including two examples of the "threaded parts" here so you can add them to your own designs. You will need a couple of M3x10 screws for the Adjuster, but you can reuse the M5x6 and T-Nuts that hold the stock Adjuster to the printer frame and the bearing as well. Print Settings Printer Brand: TEVO Printer: Tornado Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 50% Filament: Inland Yellow PLA+ Notes: You might even want to print at .1mm height, due to the threaded parts on the knobs, but I found that .2mm worked just fine (.25mm and .3mm not so much).
