The sun was setting over the vast desert landscape as I trudged through the endless dunes of sand. My canteen was almost empty and I had been walking for what felt like hours. Suddenly, a figure appeared on the horizon. It was a young woman with long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and wearing a pair of worn jeans. She looked exhausted and thirsty just like me. As she drew closer, I could see that she was carrying a backpack full of supplies. She had a small first aid kit strapped to her side and a canteen hanging from her belt. I felt a surge of hope as I realized that maybe, just maybe, this woman might be able to help me survive the harsh conditions of the desert. "Hello," I said, trying to sound friendly despite my parched throat. "Do you have any water?" The woman looked at me with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. For a moment, she didn't say anything. Then, in a voice that was barely above a whisper, she replied, "I've got some water left. But it's not much." I nodded eagerly, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "That's okay," I said. "Every little bit counts."
