Use 3mm material, such as MDF or plywood. Cut out the design using a laser cutter. Next, insert the 4mm nut and secure the various pieces together with glue. Allow the adhesive to dry completely. Then, hold the parts in place with small tie wraps. Finally, screw on the 4mm bolt with an additional nut serving as a locknut.
