30th Oct 2019 - Stop stealing my designs for commercial use.\n14th Oct 2016 - I'm flying with three of my own packs and am very happy with their performance. The battery should be securely fastened into its case. I'll take a look at the model with holes in it and see when I can come up with a solution. I will also upload a model without any cut-outs so people can do their own cutouts like @kraftor80 did.\n29th Sep 2016 - Smaller holes were used at the terminal end to prevent balance plugs from falling out of the hole and causing jams. Rounder sides have been tested in a print, and I'm very happy with the results.\n26th Sep 2016 - I made some changes to the model. Model 07 now has rounder sides, which seems to fit a little better.\n9th Sep 2016 - New versions are available! I've updated this model, and the original one had its locking pin slightly out of place. This new version locks even better.\nThe battery is easier to grip, and the locking pin was shortened so it's not too hard to remove but still keeps the battery firmly in place.\nThis design is intended for use with a 2-dean plug and a Multistar 4S 8000mAh battery. It can accommodate other batteries if they fit.\nThe holes version weighed 26 grams, while the solid side version weighed 42 grams using my print settings.\n*Print this model in ABS or another material that performs well at high temperatures. Do not use PLA.*\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcbOo-fLCcU\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: Tarantula\nRafts: Yes\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: 0.2\nPost-Printing\nAssembly: A permanent battery assembly is required.\nRemove any unnecessary pins from the dean's connectors.\nTest fit the dean's into the 3D model.\nInsert the battery leads through the holes for the deans in the 3D print.\nSolder the deans to the lead's.\nDouble-check your polarity...\nGlue the dean's into the 3D model, making sure it's flush.\nSlide the battery into the 3D print and glue or use double-sided tape if necessary.\nTuck the 4S balance lead into the 3D housing to keep it out of the way.
