Yuneec Q500 Typhoon Universal Battery Holder

I designed a versatile battery holder for the Yuneec Q500 Typhoon that lets you use various regular 3S LiPo's with EC3 connectors within this drone's battery compartment. The following are the maximum internal dimensions of this holder: 126mm long x 44mm wide x 32mm tall. 12.6cm long x 4.4cm wide x 3.2cm tall. 4.96 inches long x 1.73 inches wide x 1.25 inches tall. Additional parts needed to complete this 3D printed project are two #8 - 1/2 screws to attach the EC3 connector mounting clip. Printed in ABS with support and at 30% infill, the holder weighs around 51 grams when using two #8 - 1/2 screws, without batteries. Update on March 3, 2015: A "Lite" edition of the battery holder is now available with some vents for weight reduction. This new version also features a 30% infill in ABS and support, weighing around 35 grams when using two #8 - 1/2 screws, without batteries. In case you lose an EC3 clip, there's a single file available to print a replacement.
