Yuneec Q500 Landing Gear Brace

Yuneec Q500 Typhoon Landing Gear Brace ---------------------------------------------------------- Print the following: 1 x Brace 2 x Break Arms (New 1cm shorter version 16-11-18 now takes the strain and stops vibration) 2 x Bolts (New stronger bolt added 20-11-18, tighten up with a penny) The brace can be left on while in the carry also! Print @ 0.2mm layer height at 100% infill. The first thing I thought of when I got the Q500 4k was that the landing gear did not look supported in any way. If the landing gear collapses, then the camera is finished. This Brace is designed to break in the event of a crash to aid in minimizing the crash impact on the frame and camera. The whole idea around this design is that the brace should break first on impact rather than the main landing gear connectors at the base. I did not want to crash my Q500 to test this theory, so comments are welcomed! There is a carbon fibre version from the US only but this has to be tie wrapped, I think. This brace goes into the top holes on the land gear sideways then twist to place the curved wedge part down facing onto the grill base of the Q500 itself (See pics). I would add some felt/sponge to the curved part that touches the drone base for cushioning. **Any tips are welcomed as the brace design took 4+50 iterations and 7+ days to get working.
