I preferred the initial design, yet the retaining bump proved too high for my YubiKey 5 and I desired a version that securely held the YubiKey when removed from the keychain. A YubiKey 5 NFC easily fits into the retaining bumps surrounding the keychain hole & remains in place due to friction in the closed position. This case firmly holds the YubiKey in either orientation, but for optimal results, position the back/serial number side of the USB connector towards the small retaining ridge at the USB end. The case's flexibility allows it to "snap" the YubiKey into place securely.
