This limestone sculpture shows two youthful figures, one seated and the other standing beside her, created by master artists A.M. Ignatiev and L.M. Holina for the A. Bryantsev Youth Theatre, a pioneering institution that opened its doors in 1922 as Russia's first professional children's theatre. Originally known as the Leningrad Young People's Theatre, it relocated to its current modern building in 1962. The iconic venue stands proudly on Pionerskaya Square in Saint Petersburg, nestled at the end of Gorokhovaya Street.
