We got tired of Amazon deliveries being dropped at our neighbors' houses, so we decided to get a Parcel Box for Amazon to use instead. It was quite an effort to go fetch the key every time to check if there were any goodies in the box, especially when we'd be disappointed by finding nothing but empty space inside. I came up with this simple notification device as a solution. When pressed, it attaches itself to the side of the drawer. As soon as the drawer is opened and our package is deposited inside, the catch releases and the spring pops the button out. The parts can all be printed without supports, you'll need a suitable spring and a few drops of superglue to attach the button/top onto the core once the spring is in place.
