Yorick Statue & Glasses Holder
thingiverse
Yorick is an early 1950s statue passed down from my father, originating in his college fraternity house. I'm uncertain about the original creator, but it's documented that over time, he was repeatedly stolen from another fraternity and even intentionally buried. The name Yorick originates from Shakespeare's play Hamlet, where the famous line "Alas, poor Yorick - I knew him" is spoken. Using Autodesk's 123D Catch software, I digitized a high-resolution scan of the original statue, which includes both a sculpture-only version and a modified version featuring a pair of glasses.
