Yorick

I first met Yorick when I was performing in a local community theater production of Hamlet. The play needed an actor to portray Yorick, the deceased jester who is exhumed by a gravedigger and sparks nostalgic memories in the young prince. Yorick worked as a part-time teacher at a nearby public school, educating students about anatomy. His boss, the science teacher, kindly granted him leave of absence to join the Stagenorth Groundling's production of Hamlet. After his standout performance on stage, Yorick remained with the theater company for numerous productions, primarily serving as an inspiration for young and aspiring actors. Yorick's remarkable theater career has now come to a close. In retirement, he is eager to travel extensively. He insists on capturing his travels through photography; we had to gently take away his selfie stick from him. If you could print out Yorick and take a photo of him in your hometown or a scenic spot, it would be an incredible gesture that he would truly appreciate. "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he has borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at the thought. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how often. Where are your jokes now? Your antics? Your songs? Your flashes of merriment that used to make everyone laugh?"
