I own two Yongnuo YN300 III lights, both of them were affected by the same part failure. If you have one, it may already be damaged, which can put extra stress on other components. The replacement I made functions surprisingly well, fits perfectly and is more than strong enough, although angle adjustment notches will likely wear out rapidly.
