Human: I designed an anthro creature that's a fusion of bat, lizard, horse, or large bird, known as Yonai. The goal was to create host bodies for human consciousness to inhabit after a nuclear disaster, but the plan failed. Anti-genetic engineering groups attacked and destroyed labs in each country where this technology was being developed. These labs aimed to give world leaders, the wealthy, and brightest minds a second chance at life amidst the apocalypse. Unfortunately, one lab working with ordinary people couldn't keep up with demand or sabotage. Environmental extremists, public outcry, and an unexpected nuclear war led to the abandonment of the project. However, some Yonai creatures escaped during the chaos, survived 45 years of nuclear winter, and eventually gained self-awareness and intelligence. They forgot their origins, developed forest communities, built homes from natural materials, and wielded magic and tools with mind control over the environment. These resourceful creatures evolved unique adaptations after exposure to their surroundings.
