Yokomo YZ2 / YZ2T Adjustable battery brace
thingiverse
For the YZ-2, you'll need to attach the YZ-2T side rails for this setup. Additional required components include four 3x16mm screws and a pair of washers like those shown in the attached images. The Protopasta Carbon Fiber composite filament yields impressive results, producing robust parts with an attractive appearance. While regular PLA can be used as a substitute, it will result in a slightly more flexible adjustment slot area and lacks the visual appeal of the Carbon Fiber material. To secure the battery, custom 3D printed straps made from Polyflex flexible filament have been provided. When printing these straps, it's essential to use a flexible filament like Polyflex; standard filaments won't provide the necessary flexibility. Two strap thicknesses are included - 1.5mm and 1.75mm - with identical dimensions. If you're unable to achieve a satisfactory print quality using flexible filament, sourcing o-rings from your local hardware store is an alternative solution. Alternatively, #12 rubber bands can be used on each side as a substitute for the straps, achieving the same functionality.
