A Safety Spacer that seamlessly integrates into position on the yoke, effectively preventing damage from grinding against the knurled spindle if the filament suddenly retracts completely during a change. Although the STL file may be a robust 10mm deep, constructed at precise 0.1mm increments and with an optimal 100% fill rate, utilizing pause at Z at the correct height or carefully cutting off the object bottom will resolve any issues. This innovative design emerged as a direct result of personal experience after my yoke suffered from tip damage due to grinding during a material change retraction incident. To establish the required distance while still allowing for added friction, I utilized 'Ninjaflex semiflex' to set up the necessary space. Notably, I deliberately made the spacer yellow, whereas the lime green Yoke is my unique modification of Roberts', designed to accommodate a nyloc nut in the rear – an essential feature that utilizes the readily available lime green filament.
