This project comprises a 3D printed insert for transforming a yogurt cup or any container into an irrigating planter. It is developed using OpenSCAD with parameterized design, requiring minimal support material during printing. The process involves downloading the STL file if the container matches the dimensions used, or editing the OpenSCAD file to customize measurements. After printing, thread a nylon rope through the bottom of the cup and secure it. Slightly dampen the potting soil and plant your herbs or flowers, watering carefully from above. If needed, adjust the water level in the yogurt cup and consider using a lid as "plastic mulch" for additional protection. The project is marked as work-in-progress with future plans to simplify it further and potentially add a top-watering feature.
