The Energetic Pose - Dual-Handed Cobra Stretch To assume this invigorating pose, start by lying on your back with your arms extended upwards towards the ceiling. Inhale deeply and as you exhale, slowly lift your chest off the ground while keeping your shoulders down and away from your ears. Now, bend your knees and bring your feet flat onto the floor. Place your hands behind your head, with your fingers interlaced and your elbows wide apart. Engage your core muscles by drawing your navel towards your spine. Hold this position for 3-5 breaths, feeling the stretch in your chest and shoulders. As you inhale, lengthen your spine and lift your chest further. Exhale slowly and lower yourself back down to the starting position. To deepen the stretch, try lifting one leg off the ground while keeping the other foot flat on the floor. Hold for a few breaths and then switch legs. Repeat this process several times, feeling the flexibility increase in your chest and shoulders.
