Yoda Christmas Hat

For my 3D Printer Reviews at http://nicklievendag.com, I've spent months printing an army of Yoda Busts - you likely have a few in your collection too! So I decided to give him a Christmas Hat to wear. It's designed to fit perfectly with the Yoda Bust by chylld (http://thingiverse.com/thing:14104), and it might work with other similar designs as well. Here, you can see the Yoda bust printed at 200% scale, plus another version at standard size. It was designed for printing in two colors using a single extruder 3D printer - see instructions for more info. Instructions To print this design successfully, you'll need to use two colors with your single-extruder 3D printer. Depending on your specific setup, you may want to print the hat at 101% size for the best fit. This will help you pause and switch filaments mid-print without issues. My ZYYX review on http://nicklievendag.com/z/y/y-x-3d-printer-review-part-1 details this process further - be sure to check it out. If needed, supports can be printed, but only for the inner parts of the hat. You can set your printer not to generate any overhangs along the arch on the outside of the hat. Keep in mind that adhesion might require a Raft to work well, especially if printing small details like the little white ball. In order to capture it properly, print the bottom half of this part slowly and carefully - you won't regret it!
