Yoda Bookend Base
thingiverse
This is an altered design for the Yoda Bookend. After several attempts at modification, I finally came up with one that looks right (based on the original image) and can be printed. To give the bookend more stability, I widened it to increase its surface area, allowing it to support a full-sized hardback book. Additionally, I thickened it by 2mm for added strength. To maintain the illusion of Yoda using the Force, the vertical piece should remain as thin as possible. For extra stability, I added a permanent support on the backside, which is out of view. Initially, I kept the original design, but soon realized that there was no mechanism to prevent the book from sliding off. So, I shortened it and created a small catch to secure the book cover in place. I print this design using PETG, but other filaments would also work well. To achieve the best results, use 100% infill with a brim and no supports. Print as shown.
