YoBis - Your Bindings Update 01.05.20 Added v3 YoBis bindings: yobi35_R and yobi35_L with a steeper angle of 35 degrees, providing better foot coverage for improved contact and leverage. Size comparison available at https://www.instagram.com/p/B6bJ6waJ5Hg/. A festive cap has also been added, similar to the one showcased here: https://www.instagram.com/p/B45LCTIJHVz/. The interface remains simple, allowing users to easily swap between all three versions. Enjoy! Dani Link for an excellent end cap available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3621629. Update 07.29.19 New models added for 30-degree angled bindings: yobi30_R and yobi30_L, ideal for those seeking a closer bind to their leg. The plate and 8020 profile remain the same, along with the connection interface. Simple swap between versions. The design originated here: https://www.electric-skateboard.builders/t/better-than-freeboard-bindings/60978/. Follow the thread for recent updates and the history of YoBis. There are two parts to print - left and right binding pieces. An aluminum plate is required, which can be machined using a .dxf file provided. Any aluminum sheet between 1/8" and 1/4" thick will work, along with simple 2D machining. A 1"x1" T-slotted profile (2-2.5 inches long) is also needed. These profiles are widely available, but can be sourced from https://8020.net/1010.html if not readily found. The design aims to be cost-effective, requiring minimal "fancy" parts besides the prints and base plate. Everything else can be obtained for free or at a low cost in most places. Consider tipping the designer if you appreciate their work! Additional items needed to complete the build include: 1. 1/4-20 3/4" bolts (8 total), any head shape will do. 2. 1/4-20 sliding T-nuts (8 total), available at https://8020.net/3204.html or https://8020.net/3382.html. 3. End caps (2 total), similar to those found here: https://8020.net/2015-plain.html. 4. 1/4-20 1/2" FLAT UNDERCUT bolts (2 total) for tapping and undercutting in the aluminum plate. 5. 4-40 FLAT UNDERCUT bolts (4 total) to secure the T-profile. The assembly process is straightforward, with pictures providing clear guidance. Written instructions will be added in the coming weeks. Let Dani know your thoughts on YoBis! Enjoy, Dani
