Yo-Yo Mk.II
thingiverse
This revamped yo-yo design boasts an upgrade from its predecessor found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39356. The major enhancement is that it incorporates two small panhead screws to secure the yo-yo on the axle, replacing reliance on friction in the old model. These screws snugly fit into their respective countersunk holes. Additionally, a cutout on the outer face allows for the insertion of a 3D printed medallion or other decoration. For assembly, use a 25mm long piece of 1/4" hardwood dowel to create the axle, adjusting its length according to personal preference. Similar to its predecessor, experiment with print density to achieve desired weight; PLA infill around 75% yields a density similar to wood. Unlike the prior design, this yo-yo can only be assembled in butterfly style.
