Holder for YI Discovery action camera --------------------------------------------------- The YI Discovery is an excellent value for its price, delivering a solid 8 MP image quality that meets my requirements for family and kids-related uses. Despite claiming to capture 4K footage, it relies on interpolation to achieve this feature. As someone who doesn't need 4K capabilities, I find it satisfactory. This straightforward holder allows me to charge the camera continuously during use, such as extended time-lapse photography sessions, while also exposing the touchscreen for easy access. WiFi functionality can remain disabled if desired. The design of this holder was inspired by two existing models: the Universal Action Cam Skeleton GoPro Mount Case and the Case Yi action camera. However, I found that the latter doesn't fit the YI Discovery perfectly, so I created a custom solution tailored to its specific dimensions and features. To create this design, I utilized OpenSCAD software and included the source code for anyone interested in modifying or improving it.
