Yi Camera Headrest Bracket

Yi Camera Headrest Bracket

I created this bracket to secure my Yi Action Camera on the ADEM Headrest of my Bacchetta recumbent bicycle. My camera is housed in an aluminum case with GoPro mounting tabs, so this design should work seamlessly for GoPro cameras as well. All pre-made brackets I found interfered with my tail light. This bracket mounts the camera upside down, requiring you to adjust your camera's settings to flip the video. I initially tried mounting it the other way around but the camera would either collide with my helmet or slowly slide down, regardless of how tight I secured it. Mounting from below is inherently more stable. The mounting holes are 40mm apart and slotted for easy fitting. Use M5 or #10 hardware for securing the mount. I added an M5 nylon insert locknut to the recess and utilized a screw from another mount for tightening the camera to the bracket. Print Settings Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.19mm Infill: full Notes: I printed it on my Zortrax M200 at 0.19mm layer height. The software automatically adds a raft but I assume it will work without one. It's best to use your judgment. A little support under the recess for the M5 nut was added by the software.
