After a long search for the perfect fit, I decided to create my own support for the Xiaomi Yi 4K+ camera on my Smooth Q stabilizer. Drawing inspiration from existing designs, I tailored the shape of the camera to fit snugly on an existing base and rebuilt everything around it. The biggest challenge with the Smooth Q is achieving perfect balance. To counter this, you'll need three 8mm nuts to balance out the weight of the camera. With a little finesse, the other axis should be roughly in balance when the camera spins freely – just adjust the support accordingly to get the desired stability. Version 2 brings some minor improvements to make it even more reliable.
