YG300 Projector Lens Cap
thingiverse
This is a lens cap designed for the affordable YG300 Projector found on various Chinese e-commerce websites. A rubber band secures the cap in place and can also be used to keep it from falling off while in use. I purchased mine at an unbeatable price on Aliexpress, but I highly recommend buying it directly from Banggood or eBay instead. My particular model didn't come with a lens cap, which is a major drawback for a portable projector, so I took matters into my own hands and created one myself! Initially, I considered making a press fit cap, but that might put undue stress on the lens and cause it to wear out prematurely. However, if you're interested in a more durable option, I might post an updated version (V2) with a press fit design at a later time. The design for this lens cap was created using Onshape, and I've included a link to the file below. Print Settings: Rafts: It doesn't really matter how you set this up. Supports: There's no need for any supports here. Resolution: Print with a resolution between 0.1-0.3mm for optimal results. Infill: Use an infill percentage between 5-20% to achieve the right balance of strength and weight. Notes: If your nozzle is 0.5mm or wider, you might find that the extrusion width makes it slightly difficult to fit the cap properly.
