The YF-23 Black Phantom DBC Stealth Interceptor was developed under the Advanced Tactical Fighter program by the United States Air Force in response to emerging global threats in the 1980s, such as the Soviet Sukhoi Su-27 and Mikoyan MiG-29. In 1986, Lockheed and Northrop were selected for the project, resulting in the YF-22 and YF-23 demonstrators. These aircraft were assessed in 1991, with the Lockheed YF-22 ultimately being chosen and evolved into the F-22 Raptor. The YF-23 featured a range of advanced functions, including openable and closable canopy and landing gear, rotating front landing gear and steering wheel, and controllable flaps with ERC dials. A textured, low-polygon pilot was also included as a separate part. This model has been used in Poser 5 and above, but not yet tested in DAZ Studio. In Vue, the YF-23 is available in two versions - in flight and landed - each with 12,385 polygons, and includes a textured low-polygon pilot.
