The fit of the cup holder is snug to the Yeti itself. My preferred way to use it in the car is to pick up the entire cup holder with cup inside. It acts as one big cup. The holder is reasonably solid when printed with 100% infill. Make sure to use dense enough supports if you're printing with PETG. I'd recommend 20% linear at minimum.
