Replacement Spindle for Wanhao Duplicator i3 Series Printers With: Larger diameter ensures smoother filament dispensing. Over 80 mm of usable shaft length accommodates large spools. All overhangs conform to the 45° rule. (Print on end, with threads up) For tall, skinny Makerbot spools, check out driph's remix. To address issues with thread fit, I've added an extra 0.1mm of tolerance to the nut. Hopefully, this resolves the problem. Note: This design does not work with the stock nut. I wish I had designed it to be compatible, but it was my first Fusion 360 project and I wasn't prepared to match thread sizes. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Plus Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Looks good at fast print settings. Print spindle with threaded end up, no support. Print nut with flat side down, no support. After 9 months, my original print broke (off the printer)-- the threads snapped off of the spindle. I recommend using more shells...at least 2, maybe 3.
