Yet Another Stanley Blade Holder (YASBH). :)\r\nThis minimalistic blade holder is designed specifically for the Stanley 1992 utility blades with a normal thickness of 0.61 mm or .024 in.\r\n\r\nTo use the blade holder, simply insert the blade into the base part as far down as it will go, then slide the wedge part in to secure the blade in place.\r\n\r\nThe blade is held firmly but not retractable.\r\n\r\nIt's essential to note that this holder is not intended for heavy-duty use due to its plastic casing and thin design. Be cautious when handling sharp blades to avoid injury. I personally use mine as a box-cutter.\r\n\r\nI opted to ignore the two slots in the back of the blade, choosing instead to place it as far down as possible and secure it with friction from the wedge part. This approach eliminates any potential mess associated with using slot-pins during insertion.\r\nMy goal was to create a minimalist design that includes only the necessary features, hence I settled for the bare essentials.\r\n\r\nTo safely remove the blade, I recommend grasping it firmly with a pair of pliers and pulling straight out. Be extremely cautious not to cut yourself in the process!\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I've included a simple sheath that complements this design. Although its initial construction was somewhat rough, as I didn't initially envision a sheath, improvements are likely on the horizon.\r\nThe sheath should be printed upright without supports (please refer to the accompanying pictures).
