Yet another proximity sensor mount
thingiverse
I created this design specifically for my Mamba3D 3d-printer and built it using OpenSCAD, defining all parameters upfront so you can easily modify it for another project. I also wrote a blog post detailing how I achieved success with auto-tramming on my 3d printer: http://www.oiepoie.nl/2015/09/19/auto-tramming-or-leveling-for-a-mamba3d-3dprinter/ The OpenSCAD program is a bit cluttered, but you can download it and adapt it to suit your needs. The design's primary goal was to create a rigid product that minimizes vibrations when the extruder moves to measure for auto-tramming. I printed it with 30% honeycomb infill. A hex indent on the bottom securely holds a 12mm hex nut in place.
