Yet Another Prop Balancer
thingiverse
That's a prop balancer built with precision using 4mm smooth rods. To achieve similar results, simply substitute nails or equivalent size rods by rescaling as needed. The rods fit snugly in their slots, and for added security, I've included holes for zipties. When it comes to the gears, note that they have a 4mm hole, which may require some drilling to ensure a secure fit. I also incorporated space for 6mm sliders, not because they're essential, but because I happened to have them on hand. To bring your project to life, print two copies of gear.stl and one copy of balancer.stl. One final reminder: make sure the surface you're working on is perfectly levelled!
