IntroductionThis model combines 3 hobbies I have:Photography - allows me to take photos.Hot Peppers - Allows me to take photos of beautiful hot peppers I grow in my garden.3D modeling and printing - Have the joy to create stuff that will help me with the above two hobbies using using a 3D model I designed and printed.I wish you can also use it for your desired hobbies as well.Note: The Single Color Flexi-Cat shown in the photos is one of my models here in Printables.Model CharacteristicsDuring the weekend I modeled this simple paper support for creating a nice curved photo backdrop, that will allow me to take photos of the hot peppers I grow as a small portable studio backdrop. The motivation was to create a versatile model, that can use any paper size (A4 / Letter) as backdrop screen, in any orientation (Landscape / Portrait), that is rigid enough to hold the paper during the photo session. (Side note: You can also use A3 in Portrait orientation)The model allows placing flash lights in different places such as behind the backdrop acting as a light diffuser or/and use a front flash illumination, or even without using any flash light, using a dark piece of paper as in the pictures above. The model consists of 3 parts, a left paper support , the right paper support and a connection rail that adds some strength to the model. The two side-supports can be used without the connection rail, they will stand nicely but it is strongly advised to use the connection rail that connects the two side supports using a dovetail slider. The connection rail serves as base for the stand and provides a better support for the two side supports, its dovetail slider allows configuring it to have any paper width from 19cm (~7") up to 33cm. (~13").The angle of the stand has 100deg (instead of the traditional right angle 90deg), this small change makes a big difference when you use a large paper size in portrait orientation (A3 for example). This change prevents from the paper to fold towards the object you are photographing. The model was designed from scratch using Fusion 360, with the motivation to get a simple to print, simple to use and versatile model. (I tried first to look what is published out there in thingiverse.com, cult3d.com, printables.com, but none was complete)The printed parts have the following sizes (in millimeters)Each of the two side supports: 148x84x106Connection rail: 170x18x5.4Printing InfoOriginal Prusa Mini+eSUN white PLA+ Filament (1.75mm), 0.15mm layer height.PrusaSlicer 2.4.2+Linux-x64-GTK3 using a generic PLA profile. No supports needed.Uses 16.8mt of filament, 6 hours to print the 3 pieces. If you have a Prusa Mini+, you can use the GCODE provided, although it always wise to use the other files that allows you to configure the slicer according to your printer/filament.
