Yet Another Gcode Viewer
thingiverse
Introducing YAGV, a swift 3D Gcode Viewer for Reprap printers in Python and OpenGL. Written due to lack of a fitting visualizer, it allows loading large files, choosing layers for display, and color-coding segments based on function. Compatible with Linux, Windows, and OS X; find the full code on GitHub. Key features include independent layer display, automatic scaling, zooming, and rotation. However, panning for close inspection and retract/restore detection for zero-length segments are still issues to be resolved. Designed with Slic3r output in mind, it may not support other slicing programs. Download, unzip, install Python 2 and pyglet, then run "./yagv [file.gcode]" or set up a symlink for easier access. Under Windows, you might need to run "python path\to\yagv file.gcode".
