(Yet Another) Fidget Spinner
cults3d
I fidget with a device that keeps my hands occupied while my mind focuses elsewhere. This strategy has proven useful when talking on the phone, reading books, or watching movies - activities where I would otherwise feel restless. I manipulate the center buttons by pinching them between my fingers and spinning it, swinging it from the outer rings, balancing it on the tip of my finger, or simply playing with it in any way that suits me (no judgment here).\n\nThe device features tiny bumps on one of its rings, allowing me to count the sides if I'm so inclined. These small protrusions don't disrupt the balance in any noticeable manner.\n\nIt relies on four 608 bearings - a common component used in skateboards and inlines - which can be found at affordable prices on eBay; a set of ten will cost between 2-3€, with some variation depending on the seller. I personally use more expensive ceramic bearings for the center and cheaper steel variants for the outer bearings.
