Yet another dispenser for filament spools
thingiverse
Create a filament spool dispenser using printed brackets, wheels, leftover M8 threaded rods, and 608 bearings with a toothbrush for soft rotation control. The design is adaptable to different spool sizes as long as the center hole is between 51-59mm. To avoid wheel slippage, modify the wheel's outer diameter to be 60mm with an inner diameter of 50mm. Edit: Added a "lightweight version" for BFB filament spools using modified bracket+rod design and acrylic discs for smooth rotation without bearings. Assembly requires 12 brackets, 2 wheels, M8 nuts/washers, wing nuts, leftover M8 threaded rods, and a medium/soft toothbrush fixed with cable ties. The easy-swap feature allows for spool replacement by undoing three wing nuts, lifting off the front frame including the toothbrush, replacing the spool, and rejoining the frame. Test the functionality of this feature before using.
