In a compact 1U size (10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm), all parts except the deployment switch and separation spring are made from lightweight aluminum 6061-AHC (2.7 kg/cm^3 density). To minimize friction, stainless steel 440C and brass components are used. The total assembly weighs just 0.483 kg. Simple shapes enable the use of additive manufacturing techniques. This design adheres to CubeSat Design Specification Rev. 12 and is compatible with PC/104 embedded computer form factor. No patent application has been filed.
