A game-changing mod printed in twenty minutes, installed in under three minutes, that will double your stock Creality CR-10 bridging capacity - why wait? This clever design was crafted to avoid interfering with your print, but please verify that once installed the clearance between your aligned plate and the bottom line of YACNSFB is at least one millimeter. I took inspiration from the original 3rDirective mod, but I had a few ideas of my own: - I waited for longer screws to arrive before testing it. - I thought redirecting the air flow towards the extrusion point zone would be more effective than on the nozzle. - I needed to get in touch with Freecad. This is the fifth version, born out of a rainy Sunday afternoon. I put this mod through its paces by comparing it to the stock blower using this test: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1570562 The bridging capacity I achieved was at least 45 mm with this new design - the bridge isn't perfect, but the extruded wires stick together beautifully when bent with my finger. With the stock blower part, a 22.5mm bridge is already compromised. So I say this little piece of genius doubles (at least) your bridging capacity, since I used: - the same gcode. - the same PLA wire. - within the same hour and no print in between - for both tests! I didn't test the original design by 3rDirective, but it should also improve results and requires new screws. Mine doesn't! Enjoy. And many thanks to 3rDirective for its brilliant idea.
