Yet Another Coin Cube

I know this is not the first coin-in-a-cube but was my first own design of this kind, and it wasn't so easy as it looked at the beginning. And this one includes the perfect coin, which I found out only after the thing was finished (Italian Euro 2002, see picture). So I wanted to share this!

Print instructions

Category: Coins & Badges Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: I3 MK3S

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2mm

Infill: No

Filament: BQ PLA
Notes:

In the upper part, where the 8 tips of the lateral circles begin to rejoin (~3/4 overall height) there is a critical point! It can happen that the sharp edges bend upwards a little bit, which can cause the printer nozzle to hook into one of them and knock over the cube. I don't have a general solution to overcome this problem, but for me it finally worked.
If you have the same problems, or you have a good solution, please comment!

The coin should be placed into the cube when the height is already about 60%, either by pausing and resuming the print (which can cause some nasty flaws in the surface), or by (quickly but carefully!) inserting the coin 'in realtime' by use of a pincette. This method is a bit more thrilling but for me it worked.
