Yet Another Catan Tile Holder
thingiverse
This is a compact storage solution for magnetic catan tiles from Dakanzia, along with hexagonal spacer rings inspired by his ingenious storage system. After examining the original design, I discovered that it was too bulky to print on my Robox, and its 500g weight made it impractical despite its beauty. This design should weigh approximately 33 grams when printed with supports, making it a significant improvement over the original. The flanges on either side enable tiles to be snugly arranged in rows without lateral pressure, awaiting the ingenuity of someone who can develop a magnetic seating mechanism. Meant to fit inside a box or briefcase, these racks will securely hold the pieces on edge with the aid of spacer rings. Fully loaded, they stand approximately 83mm tall.
