Yet another BusPirate v3.6 case
thingiverse
This is a remake of Bus Pirate v3.6 (DP6037 60x37mm PCB footprint). The design of this device really caught my eye - it was so elegant! But, unfortunately, I had to put it through some rough handling and the outcome was disastrous; the delicate thing just wouldn't hold together despite my gentle treatment (though things took a turn for the worse whenever cables were being swapped, which happened quite often). I built an updated version, giving the old one some major improvements by using M3 screws and installing internal standoffs (located on both top and bottom) that ensured everything stayed perfectly in place. OpenSCAD source files have been made available for customization. For Construction Four M3 nuts are all you'll need to make this a reality, as well as some 10mm cap screws. Resist the urge to overdo it with these, remember not to crank them down too tightly! Pressing nuts into place can be achieved with either soldering irons or friction welding; in my case I had a slight success when I did use the iron - for next time (if you'd like similar results), you may want to carefully remove 0.2-0.5mm from the OpenSCAD parameter 'nut_d'.
