Yes Man Fallout 4 (Securitron)
thingiverse
This is a 3d model of a Securitron from Fallout New Vegas. Credit for the model goes to this amazing artist: https://grabcad.com/library/fallout-new-vegas-securitron-1 I took their solid model and enlarged the face on the screen, removed some features that were too small to print, and hollowed out the back to save material. I hollowed it out with a large radius (ends of curves nearly touching), so it prints without support material. The model is split in two so that it can be printed in two halves. I cut the wheel flat on the bottom so the model can stand on its own once printed. It even works fine when printing just the front half. There's also a large cavity in the wheel where you can put a stand or some weight for stability. There are Yes Man designs with engraved faces and a blank screen option. You can paint the face on it if needed. The other faces are available as images in case you need them, but they were tricky to trace due to their high level of detail. I'm sure people would love a remix if someone is more skilled at layered graphics. I removed Yes Man's claw hands and left the standard gun hands because the claws would be harder to print and wouldn't fit for the usual securitrons. There are three regular securitrons in the model, which makes sense with the game lore. The model is about six inches tall but scales well. I printed a 3" one without any issue, although I haven't tried printing one full-sized yet. If you have any reasonable requests, I can easily modify the model or send the solid model to you. Update: An armless version was created so that flexible tubes could be inserted into the body and hands for movable arms. Printer Settings * Printer: Da Vinci Pro * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Infill: 5% Notes: I printed one at 0.3 layer height and 5% infill. Smaller layer heights, like 0.15, will improve the quality of the curves on the arms and torso. You can try using supports if you need to, but it won't hurt anything. Post-Printing After printing, use a good file for rough edges and an acetone bath prior to paint to make it look great as with any model.
