Yemen and Bab el Mandeb

Here are two pocket relief maps: the strait that connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden, Yemen and Bab el Mandeb. The open source software OpenSCAD's surface command was employed to generate the maps. Instructions: data was retrieved from a USGS GMTED2010 file which provides global coverage and is accessible for download at earthexplorer.usgs.gov/. The surface command in OpenSCAD makes it simple to create small relief maps. A short Fortran program, Yemen.f, has been included which was used to make the data files required by the surface command, with additional information available within the program itself.
